The Compactor® is a piston-type press that reduces transport and disposal costs of either municipal or industrial screenings by up to 75%. Screenings from a Vanguard® V2 Screen can be discharged directly into the Compactor via an enclosed chute or by means of a belt conveyor. A hydraulic stainless steel piston, operated by an oil pump, pushes the screenings into the friction pipe where it drains and is compacted. Drained water is collected in a small tank and is discharged. The machine is user friendly, reliable and operating costs are very low. |
